Hopefully I'll have time on the weekend to go to the instrumental concert...so far it looks like there's not much on next week except for the Jazz Soiree, but I bet you my 5c coin collection that I'll be inundated with work soon enough :) ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT OF TERM 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yr 11 formal '09!

Sorry for the insane excitement HAHA...on the day of the formal, I was pretty much zoning out of all my classes until we were allowed to go home :P Leah came home with me, we bummed around for hours and hours because we weren't going out to get our hair and makeup done

Amanda came, and her mum did my nails! Forgot to take a photo of them but I've cut my nails now :( Basically just a French manicure with some nail art...really pretty! Amanda fully looked like a princess with her tiara, updo and longgg purple dress, omgosh :D People started rolling into my house, including little Belle :D Erika looked same as usual cos she's always gorgeous and didn't wear more makeup than she usually does, just some false eyelashes. Lisa came in and her makeup was AMAZING! Professional really makes a difference haha, she was like pearly and glowy...Benny also came all suited up and matching Erika's dress :) Trust Min to not get there til the last minute......

We ate some finger food (or toothpick food because my mum is so asian) and took some photos...cbf posting them all up but here's a group shot

Leonda was beautiful...shame we got the smaller room because Uni High were in the Ballroom, but we clearly caught their attention anyway ;P Bouncers checked our clutches and we spent the next few hours trying to figure out if this particular bouncer was a man or woman (Mrs Price told the bouncer she/he was in the wrong bathroom when she/he walked into the girl's bathroom....HAHAHA I THINK SHE WAS ACTUALLY A CHICK!). Lots of hello's/omgyoulookbeautiful/omgiloveyourdress/omgiloveyourshoes/airkissing with people I barely speak to at school, but it was so awesome to see everyone looking so fabulousss! Completely didn't recognise a few of them...who knew some of the people in our year level were that HOT hahahaha

It was seriously awkward when the international student's dates tried to like...shimmy up to us and dance...and then I dunno, I just kinda walk off LOL (all the asian guys look EXACTLY THE SAME OMFG)

The nutbush completely killed my feet but I trooped on and tried to make Leah dance (btw Leah aren't you glad you came?? yayy), and all of a sudden the night was over :O The last song was very anticlimax though - Girls just wanna have fun. SERIOUSLY?!

Hobbled to the car and back (and back to the car again) to give Lisa's and Min's stuff back so that they could go clubbing (which they didn't do - TOLD YOU SO LOL, nah but late night karaoke sounds pretty fun haha), whilst Irene&Amanda came back to my place...we were still pretty much wide awake so we camwhored a bit and removed alllllll the makeup and undid their hair - HILARIOUS

We watched Baby Mama whilst Irene fell asleep (and snored)...good movie :D demolished the popcorn, gossiped and slept at like 4am. Woke up at 8:30 and lay in bed for aaaages until we forced ourselves to get up and eat brekky - jumped onto facebook straight afterwards LOL

2 sleeps

T-minus 2 days and Min and Leah got their tiaras yesterday :D I'm tres excited to see what the fuss is all about, but I guess I'll have to wait...

House debating was on today - WE WON YEAHH! Before the final was like a spare period, so Leah and I cut up the award nomination slips, and delivered invitations to the teachers (totally felt like I was Santa haha). Sam tested out my hair curler, I stole a pair of fake eyelashes (they look gross so I don't wanna use them) and then we admired each others long nails HAHA....except Lisa and Irene who broke 1 nail :(

Tomorrow is gonna feel like an eternity - wind symphony at 7:30, double maths, double psych, chem, english....AS FREAKIN IF!! PLUS probably a short rehearsal after school for Explosive and THENN Robyn's until 6:30

FML I REALLY AM NOT IN THE MOOD TO HARDCORE ENGLISH FOR 2 HOURS! Thank god for SKC formal next Thursday...pretty much excited cos I get to skip out on Robyn's HAHA. Should be a great night though :)

T-minus 3 days and the past 24 hours felt like a whole week :|

I just want Friday to be here - I wasn't at all excited about the formal 6 months ago, but the closer it is, the more excited I am! I haven't had that much work to worry about (which worries me haha), and I feel like I'm wasting my time just WAITING for Friday...I can't wait to see everyone in their dresses and looking beautifullllll!

I forgot to cut up the award nomination slips in my spare today =__= I KNEW there was something I had to do but I ended up wasting the entire period talking to D ahhahaha...

Hopefully I can skip out of house debates tomorrow and finish up on things with the rest of the formal committee...............

T-minus 4 days and the excitement levels are rising :D

I am 100% ready - test ran my outfit + makeup + hairdo last night and decided to put the eyeshadow over a green eyeliner to make it stick...little Annette walked in on me trying to take photos of myself (lmfao) and she really wants to go with me :P So should I take a 9 year old girl as my date...? hahaha

Only thing I have not test run - my new underwear.

I bought it today because last night I realised that the silkyness&brightness of the dress showed the most horrible panty lines....ewewww :( So i picked up new undies 10 minutes ago LOL

I feel like I should go all out and get my hair and makeup done just because everyone else is...but if you really think about it, everyone's gonna look the same (and by the same I mean everyone is gonna look fabulous) whether they spent $1000 on themselves or $100...so screw that :D

What the hellllll, I totally got into a rhythm of organisation before CLC and now I've totally lost my mojo...not practising piano properly and wasting every night procrastinating D:

And to top it off, my nose is stuffed up, my throat is itchy and I have a cough...

Beats being 17 any day :( No party planned this year; I still have 100 formal invitations to make, and I need to properly figure out pre's and after's...might as well make that my birthday celebration :D but seeing as everyone wants to go clubbing afterwards... :( yeah screw that, haha

So I guess my 17th year of life has been pretty fantastic...cut off all my hair, learnt a lootttt of things, got my braces off (and gained weight...), had a blast over the summer in Rye, bushfires & memorial service, bystander effect experiment ROFL LEAH YOU PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH ON THAT DAY, run for the kids, mothers day!, exams, LMUS!!&celebrationsafterwards, making a dress out of bags, helping organise the biggest event for year 11................and so many more things to come!! Annette&fam are moving to the USA, 2010 leadership positions, BIG DAY IN, VCE solo piano exam, NO MORE R.E AND AN EXTRA BLOCK OF SPARES!, more exams, JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then I say hello to fricken year 12. FML

CLC 2009!!!

DAY ONE
Mario Kart'ed on the bus trip with St Kevs...I thought it was semi awkward, since you could tell they were thinking "wtf, so many asians!!" when they walked onto the bus :P Split into 4 big groups when we got there for some physical activities - rock climbing, cage soccer, volleyball, giant swing and crate stacking! Rock climbing was kinda lame, we did the whole boy-girl pair up and harness each other up thing...failed to learn anyone's name except Ashwin who did my harness :) Made it to the top of the intermediate wall, saw another guy fail at the expert wall so I figured I wouldn't attempt that wall. EXCEPT! Georgia ACED it D: short little chick totally owned all the guys hahaha


Had lunch (name tags randomly put on the tables and all that), realised a guy on my table was Michael from from PJ game back in '07 :) so that killed the awkward for the rest of the day cos he was in my activity group too. Played caged soccer afterwards...which is literally soccer in a little cage =__= decided to stuff it and play volleyball instead, which was pretty fun except it was raining :( Learnt a few more names in the process of teamwork, haha

Giant Swing was heaps of fun, I put up my hand to go in the first 3 meaning we had to go to the top D: the 2 guys (chickens) pushed me to go first...SOOOO FUN!!! Except I didn't have another turn because harnesses ARE SO DAMN ANNOYING =__= and it hurts. LOL

CRATE STACKING! HAHAHA it looks so pointless and easy but oh my buddha it's a lot harder/scarier than it looks D: I went first (again), but I didn't have another shot (again) cos yeah...harnesses piss me off :P and I had to pass crates for the rest of the time anyway. Most people got around 8, some pros got 10 and the freaks got to 13 or 14 (Sam and Min). Apparently the record is 17, which is basically to the roof D:

That was pretty much it...we were all seriously tired and I was BEYOND STARVING. Dinner was awesome fun - a tableful of girls + one of the 28173 Toms and a James :) *name recall winnn*. We ended up telling riddles throughout dinner, and we all got mindscrewed over the Monty Hall problem...good fun, hahaha.

Next up was getting into our small groups and getting to know each other. I paired up with a different Tom (and our group leader's name was Tom...and my other group leader's name was Tom...ARE YOU CONFUSED? I AM =__=) and yeah he was really great; totally gonna be some elite footy player when he's done with school and all that :) Afterwards, we FINALLY GOT TO DO THE MASKMAKING! I was totally looking forward to that all week, and it was definately a highlight (I'm a loser). Paired up with Michael and we were near Sam/Shannon - hilariousss! It's the weirdest feeling having glad wrap on your face, let alone plaster...it's like everybody broke their face or something

So by now everyone's seriously exhausted...but had to troop on with the C part of the LC. Had some prayer time and readings (+ a reading in canto haha) and etc etc...I was just about falling asleep, so thankyou lord for letting us go to bed afterwards :) A whole bunch of us showered (this is almost at 11pm haha) and nearly burnt out Viv's hairdryer. Slept for like 7 hours but it felt like 70...phwoar too much happened in Day 1 D:

DAY TWO
D&M day - listened to a few people talk about their families, which really makes you appreciate the amazing lives we have. Got back into our small groups and drew up some family trees - Karen's was SOO cute! She explained it and was like (imagine this with a canto accent...) "I live with my grandma grandpa...I was too naughty so they kick me out to my aunty uncle. I was too naughty so they hire me a maid...maid say I too naughty so she kick me out to my 2nd aunty!" etc etc. Went to the beach in the afternoon and made sandcastles and stuff :)


We got to paint our masks! SQUEEE I was excited for this too :P James painted his whole thing gold...and it looked super awesome! But generally the girls are way artier than the guys...lmfao. Of course Viv K's looked amazinggggg and Leah's looked like Jigsaw in the end :P


Again, dinner was hilariousss! It was originally a mix of people, but then some internationals chucked the guys somewhere else and it ended up being 6 or 7 girls + Michael. HE EATS SO FAST WTF! Sam raced him and got owned, then I forget how it happened but the word "swig" came up and....aahh it's just one of those things that you had to be there to find funny :P Anyways, Sam and her swigging made cordial go everywhere...then we were over the word "swig" and Big Tom told us to "chew the fat"...and then we started laughing about chewing fat. BASICALLY it was a bunch of us laughing at nothing :) Michael left the table, then we started playing like spin the spoon or something...that evolved into spin the shoe when everyone migrated outside, ahaha. Angelo was dared to eat 41 packets of sugar and Sam was dared to tell someone he was the most attractive person in the world or something like that...the latter didn't happen :(

Had some prayer time again, lighting candles and writing notes about how we want to let go of the painful things that have happened to us in our lives...I thought it was really sad, until the music in the background sang the lyrics "I want to be the father of your child" :| Someone knocked over a few candles and wax went everywhere...moodkill D: and a pain in the ass to clean off, including the use of Viv's hairdryer (again) which almost burnt out (again). The Rev said her hairdryer was a gift from God (LOL), because out of the 20 or so girls who were there...almost everyone brought a hair straightener but only ONE person had a hairdryer D:


We got to open our letters from our parents afterwards, which completely made me cry...Dad is such a sop =__= Leah and Irene also cried, plus stacks of other girls haha. I cleaned my face up and then we had a QUIZ :D We were team KKK ..........Krazy Karen Krew HAHA. We were losing for most of it, but started to pull back when it got to News/Sports/Music...made some pretty lucky guesses, and having 3 sports pros in our group doesn't hurt :P So from last place we eventually came FIRST! WOOOO! The prize? A plastic medal and a lollipop......hahaha

Pretty tired yet again, but we skipped showertime and gossiped about girl stuff ;D til midnight...

DAY THREE
Did some random "get into a circle shoulder to shoulder and make crap out of clay!" activity...I think I was shouldered with another James =__= yay generic names! The clay things had to represent how we want the world to remember us or something...I was gonna just make a heart, but at least 5 other people did that (or peace doves) so I just made a treble clef...Min made a perfect ball with a smiley face ahahah. Did some affirmations to one another after that, which was so warm&fuzzy :D The guys are really big softies on the inside and the girls all wrote theirs anonymously...so now I have some really sweet notes from a bunch of people I barely started to get to know :( Played more Mario Kart with the guys (the DS got passed around so much I lost track of who we were playing against) and girls pwned :D not including me....HAHA

I'm pretty bummed that camp is over; it was so much more fun than I expected, and I met some really awesome people! I seriously wish it went for at least a week :(

Just got back from a concert at Angel's house :D her house is BEAUTIFUL OH MY GOD I WANNA LIVE THERE!! Except for the shelves in the living room... THEY'RE NOT SYMMETRICAL AND IT ANNOYS ME! AND MEGAN!

I'm SO excited for the rest of this month...I got over the complaining about how busy it would be, but you know what....being busy is so much more exciting than moping around putting off homework :D

Slightly annoyed that Megan's Keenan isn't in my CLC group...I was gonna fully harrass him, but now it looks like our CLC group will consist of 75% asian girls and 100% white guys. And the one guy that I know that'll be in our group probably doesnt even remember me

The busier I am, the more work I get done...seriously D: I think I get frantic about how much I have to do, so it makes me focus...

Last week there was the Annual Concert, I had the chem test the day after

after 53 minutes of studying, I got an A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S LIKE THE BEST MARK I'VE EVER GOTTEN(THAT'S NOT A WORD?) IN CHEM ALL YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No idea how I did that...either the topic was seriously easy, or I did some pretty accurate studying :D (the latter, I'd like to think)

And then obviously, because camp is next week, every teacher decides to pile EVERYTHING on us this week :( Last night I stayed up til 11:30 finishing my psych presentation, finishing my GMA homework, and making a start on my English homework

SO WHO KNEW THAT TODAY

- Psych presentation would be postponed

- GMA was replaced by a lame maths competition that I'm not in (thankfully)

- I would have a double spare to do all my homework (WHICH IS AWESOME...but I didn't have ANYTHING TO DO =__=)

Choir tomorrow morning...psych presentation too :) IF IT'S POSTPONED AGAIN I'M GONNA PUT STICKYTAPE IN MY HAIR!!

Nominations for leadership positions are pretty much sneaking up on us way quicker than I expected...

After a few speeches from various portfolio captains, we got our nomination forms today (after that 2 hours long seminar thingo...gah) and I'm starting to freak out a bit over who will get which captaincy

You know how there's those people that you expect/assume they'll be a captain in year 12? Those are the people that I sometimes think SHOULDN'T be a captain...don't get me wrong, they would do brilliantly, but some people don't realise there are others who are just as worthy =/ I have in my mind who I would vote for, and a few of them go against what the general vote would be. It pisses me off when some people whore themselves out over a position they want, which makes other candidates feel bad/upset

Having said that...I REALLY WANT TO BE MUSIC CAPTAIN! Which possibly goes against everything I just said ^ haha...it's just that I have so many ideas for 2010 and if you didn't know how much I love music then you're a hobo on the street :) Every music captain before me has made such an amazing impression on me, not just because they're some of the best musicians I'll ever know, but they've been such fantastic leaders...apart from my passion for music I don't have that extra bit of *something* that the previous leaders had. So I guess whether or not I get this position, I'll have to find my *something* either way...

OH MY GODDDD I REALLY WANT THIS! I may actually cry if I don't get it T___T

weird day

(warning, TMI in this blog post)

So I woke up this morning, all is fine and normal...I welcomed my onceamonth friend right on time :) Ate 2 bites of my grilled cheese, then suddenly needed the toilet really badly. I was just finishing up on the loo when I started sweating like CRAZY, then half a minute later I was really really cold and I felt like I needed to pass out and throw up at the same time (don't say I didn't warn you about being grossed out). I stumbled out of the bathroom over to mum's room (mum was also in the bathroom) and started hyperventilating to her that I didn't feel normal. She was like BRB!

and then I collapsed on her bed with the worst cramps I've ever had, sweating and freezing at the same time .____.

Mum told me to go boil some water and have a drink, but I didn't have the energy so I had to wait for her to get out of the bathroom...she wrapped me (fully clothed in a jumper and jeans) in her blankets, while she went to boil water and get me 2 panadols. At this point I feel like I'm in labour...

Down went the panadol, + some hot chocolate afterwards heh. My hands were really clammy and gross, and so was my head/face and my back...but having mum sit there with me makes me feel better :) heeeeeh. I fell asleep after the panadol killed my cramps I think...then I had to wake up, eat and go have a piano lesson =_______=

I'm totally fine now, but my cramps are back :( Mum just made me drink dark brown sugar + hot water o.o asian remedy, apparently...

I have NO idea what happened to me this morning, but it's probably related to the fact that I don't exercise, have been really tired lately, and the whole period thing. BEING A GIRL SUCKS SOMETIMES :( but at least it won't be there for camp, my bday and formal! WHICH LEAH HAS TO COME TO BECAUSE I LOVE HER
