the big day in

IM NOT HUNGRY RIGHT NOW!!!

it really is worth an entire blog post.

the big day in was on at school today (biggest charity event for our school in bangladesh), heaps of fun (partly coz we get to miss period 4 and 5), and the year 10s were on sausage sizzle...my shift was the first one, but i ended up sizzling them sausages for an hour :( which did not help my hunger at all

luckilyyyy, i got to cut the hugeass queue and ate 4 sausages in bread :) i initially had 3, but then they dropped the pricing so what the heck, i ate another. i also had strawberries dipped in the chocolate fountain OH MY GOD they were incredible...so i bought another one. aaand i had a drink and some cupcakes and needless to say, that is why i am no longer hungry

OUR HOUSE ALSO WON THE FIVE CENT COIN TRAIL!! *insert name of house here* FINALLY GOT PWNED THIS YEAR!! our trail went up in a line and was so long that it had to turn around, come back, turn around and go up again :) so basically we had 3 trails haha.

it's also a tradition for the house captains to have all kinds of food dumped in their hair and *styled*. baked beans, whipped cream, canned food...you name it, it's probably on their heads :P though i skipped out on it so i could go check out the "guess the teacher's outfit" thing...there were 30+ outfits and we had to match them up with the owner. it's HILARIOUS seeing some of the clothes from the 60's...and even more hilarious trying to picture the relgious eduaction teacher wearing an extremely sexy, lowcut, potential wardrobe malfunctional dress :)

so that was the big day in...prior to that, me and viv were trying to do a prac in chem where we had to separate the chocolate chips from the cookie...err, we failed :) the cookie was 4g at the start and we ended up with a total mass of chips+cookie being 1g....so yeah, we lost a lot of cookie in the process :( even if they were 4 months past their use-by date.

actually, thinking about choc chip cookies made me hungry...ok, my hunger hasn't subsided after all x___x

for lunch i had 4 wraps, a banana and an icecream. the tuckie ran out of EVERYTHING!!! i swear, there were NO CHIPS!!! I WAS CRAVING CHICKEN CHIPS SO BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO DIM SIMS EITHER, JUST ONEEEEEEE THING OF LASAGNE AND IT WAS PROBABLY A HUGE RIPOFF SO I JUST BOUGHT A PATHETIC ICECREAM (thanks for the $$ juls)

then after school i made mum heat up some frozen crap....a baked corn thing....5 chicken sticks and a veggie stick....and a bowl of strawberries....and literally 20 minutes after i ate, i was hungry again

i attempted drinking water in case i was actually thirsty but NO IM STILL HUNGRY

AND I HAVE ANOTHER HOUR AND A BIT TO HOLD OUT TIL DINNER

PE was off in the morning, coz interschool aths was on :(

so instead of PE...we watched some random olympics doco, and a few of us left early coz we had to perform in assembly

so assembly kicked off and did our round of ensemble accompaniment for the hymn (my arrangement whee!!) then sat down and listened to the usual blabber for about 20 minutes

then english week presentations kicked in and some modernised shakespeare plays were performed :D i was an extra in the *balcony* scene from romeo and juliet as one of juliet's bitchy friends haha...twas fun!

then after recess, more english presentations...but in english class. still shakespeare, still romeo and juliet, but it wasn't modernised

and i was the nurse, and viv was juliet

nurse: "...do you not see that i am out of breath?!"

juliet: "HOW ART THOU OUT OF BREATH WHEN THOU HAST BREATH TO SAY TO ME THAT THOU ART OUT OF BREATH!!!!!!!!!??? THE EXCUSE THAT THOU DOST MAKE IN THIS DELAY IS LONGER THAN THE TALE THAT THOU DOST EXCUSE"

best lines ever. and i'm not even juliet :) just a horny nurse.

i think i eat 3x more than usual when im pmsing...the rest of my sane friends get mood swings but noooo i have to eat and get zitty. not in that order :)

mucked around in viscom, then did ANOTHER presentation but this time for jap...in english....about kimonos :) see if you can get your head around that one, coz i just confused myself

10:00am

emma and i go round to the op shop, sift through some disgusting outfits (who the hell buys 2nd had underwear anyway) and go home with nothing :(

12:30pm

meet up at box hole hill with min, watch her chow down a huge big mac, fries and a snack wrap, before realising we lost leah at bubble cup. i leave min to finish her nomz while i run to find leah, who isn't there...and never turned up. randomly found erika (who left her phone at home) wandering around in circles looking for us (lucky). wandered around, bumped into daniel and damien (WHO LOOK SO DAMN ALIKE ITS CRAZY). after looking at a few hairdressing salons, we end up back at the first one. min discovered that dyeing a full head of hair costs $100+, and i discovered that getting ONE streak of blue costs $40. ONE!!! colouring the hair becomes out of the question, and i settle for a cut and wash/style. long hair is no more!

3:15pm

drop round to lisa's house to give her a birthday pressie, come home and i walked to susan's place to show her my new hair&shoes. she loves, i love, we're all happy :) 

5:00pm

totally avoiding homework, making/editing video, downloading photos and procrastinating in general...

5:45pm

min arrives. got her dressed in a tux and made her look like a lesbian/pre-pubescent boy with boobs. i get changed into a flipping DRESS O_O i feel so girly it's crazy. amanda arrives 15 minutes before we leave and hogs the bathroom to do some major stylin...she pulls off male WAYY better than min, with her red bowtie and red chucks :D while that's all happening, the camera's rolling and we freak leah out by catching her on camera.

we leave to pick up steph, who gave me an AMAZING drawing!! on the way, we're chattering away like the crazy schoolgirls we are...til we arrive at destination :) told the dude i had a reservation but he just took me to some random table with 14 spots, and the 5 of us sat down and waited for the rest of them to arrive...

7:15pm

waiter asks if we want some garlic bread to eat while we talk/order. i say yes. THREE HUGE PLATTERS OF GARLIC BREAD ARRIVE*. (if you're a melbourner you'll know the restaurant i'm on about when i say the sizings are HUGE!!) i get amused watching noob asians get pwned coz they ordered large sizes thinking that they're small. i order 3 pastas on one platter (bolognaise, carbonara, marina), fritto misto, ricotta and sundried tomato pizza, fries and garden salad. 13 people are fed and watered and happy

8:00pm

food is finished. random lady and random kid do a double take at amanda and min while they were in the girls bathroom. half the table mysteriously disappear. we start having camera wars and probably freaked out the people around us...

i start to think of ordering a cake but the remaining people told me not to (it was obvious at this point that 1) they already ordered cake and 2) the missing people were up to something). waiter ruins the *surprise* by setting down plates and telling me that the cake was coming. cue the chorus of happy birthday x2.

we eat the new cake, coz it's icecream. cue the chorus of happy birthday, again. another table is also celebrating a birthday. cue happy birthday chorus war x2

pass the parcel begins....with a twist. who the hell plays pass the parcel with condoms and tampons shoved in between layers of newspaper?! apparently my friends do :) emma got a dare to go up to a random guy and ask him to dance, which she did :P 

the parcel ended with size 24 undies...yum? i got a dare to sing a love song loudly which i did and it got filmed so watch outtt haha

9:00pm

home time, huge cake got split into 4 things and we went home....

afterparty began, consisting of min, lisa, leah, amanda and steph...sad i know. we made a vid for nathan regarding his suit (his pockets are filled with tampons/condoms and the undies), and mucked around in general...now my room's a mess and i never got round to cleaning it and i prolly won't ever get round to it

went to city to get me my shoess :D so unfair, they only had blue for mens :( so i got the purpley blue kind

my pinky finger is demented thanks to house basketball, and i think i popped a vein in my hand aaahahahaha it feels really bruised but it looks normal :P but our house won!! A and B teams both got 2nd, overall equal 1st and we came 1st in soccer as well...gotta find out how the seniors and juniors did til i can scream about it some more :D

tomorrow is FINALLY gonna be friday...omg, it felt like friday 2 days ago =_____= trying on my soon-to-be new nike airforce 1's after school :D :D mass birthday present from my friends squeeee

op shopping with em on saturday morning, haircut on saturday arvo OH MY GOD *farewell precious hairs*, party on saturday night (location disclosed ;P)

i've spent more than a year growing it out to the length it is now - its never been this long EVER. i'm going to the hairdressers for the first time in my life and i have NO idea what to do...will this cut suit =/ coz i know it won't turn out like the photo but....HELP!!!

i'm definately gonna get it cut in some way, shape or form, so ideas would be great x____x

currently watching the olympic opening ceremony...the entertainment part is mostly over, its the flagbearing and country-entering thing going right now

but OH MY GOD, it was INCREDIBLE...pretty much the most amazing opening ceremony i've ever watched, i am SO INCREDIBLY PROUD to be of a chinese background!! SOO much hard work must've been put into this, i can't believe it was pulled off so seamlessly!! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh i seriously almost had a teary moment somewhere in there as well...the choreography for EVERYTHING was just beautiful!! the dance/painting was one of my faves, do the dancers hands not run out of paint? don't understand, but it was a total WOOOAAHHH moment. lang lang and the little kid were sooo amazing as well, i love how the little kid was totally not paying attention, and she's sitting right next to one of the world's best pianists...i think i would faint, quite honestly x____x oh oh and the typewriter!! HOW COOL WAS THAT HAHA, I TOTALLY THOUGHT IT WAS ALL TECHNOLOGY UNTIL THE PEOPLE POPPED OUT OF IT!!!! and and and the oars!! and the tai chi, the scrolls, aaaaah, every moment was just amazing!! my cousins are taping it, so i totally wanna watch it again or maybe it'll be on youtube some time soon :)

aand one of my friends came out to his parents today and i'm also incredibly proud of him...he must be on top of the world, having turned 18 and have a huge burden taken off his shoudlers :) i hart you aiden

and how fitting that this is my 200th post :)

hope everyone's having a great day...its not 08/08/08 every day, after all ;) only 100 years til the next one...
