chillin.

Just me and Erika today; off to vic market in the morning :) Didn't buy anything, just browsed around and talked about things...it's kinda nice having the two of us. Actually, it ALWAYS ends up being the two of us haha, nobody's ever free when we wanna hang out :P

Ages ago we want to find Koko Black coz we visited there on Urban last year, but last time we checked it was closed down...so we wandered around to attempt finding it and we found it!!

NOMM!!!!!!

Spent ages in Priceline as well, Erika wanted a mineral foundation and NOTHING matched her skin hahaha...she ended up getting a Revlon one that had ugly packaging but hey it matched her skin colour woohoo :P I reckon I'll get me one as well, once my other foundation runs out (which will take a year...) and my skin gets nice enough :) yay

Thennnnnn we went to mc, watched Wild Child (totally predictable cheesy cliche chick flick...haha) then wandered around looking for a strawberry perfume o.o The Body Shop had some really nice smelling strawberry perfume oil that Erika wanted (that girl never runs out of money, wtf) but didn't get anything coz it wasn't a spray bottle or something like that...ya

And now I'm home and I smell like a fruit basket...sif use me as a tester!

splurrrge

Went to Bridge Rd with Susan and Steph today woohoo?

I'm SO out-shopped...those two have far too much energy and clothing styles that suit them =__= It ain't fair.

I made a purchase after coming out of the first store we went into...Mooks shirt from $60 down to $36 :D IT HAS POCKETS LAWL.

It was only like 11:45 but I was famished, so we ate :) sushi ftw! The rest of the day was mainly for the other two going round to 10289329387 shoe stores and 12387198237 clothes stores...the stuff this season is all floral and tribal blah, I don't like any of it. I liked the odd looking tribal bracelets but eh, too cheap to buy them :)

Picked up some shorts for $20 at Dotti though, coz my other two pairs of shorts are 2 years old and faaadinggg/crinkly. So these new ones are creamy and stripey :D Susan went nuts all day coz she was after a denim vest, and she eventually bought that too...and they both bought black/gold flats coz it was cheaper to buy 2 pairs of shoes or something like that :) I just sat around like one of those boyfriends that gets dragged around all day...

OH MY GOD HAHAHHA I TOTALLY FORGOT!!! I SAW THE TIIIINIIIESSTTT SKIRT AS WELL!! SO naturally I tried it on for kicks...hey it was $5 I WAS ACTUALLY CONSIDERING BUYING IT HAHA, I just wanted to own the world's shortest skirt :P I apologise in advance for posting this up, you may be scarred for life:

Where my shirt meets the skirt? Yeah, that's the top of the skirt HAHA, here's a better one

LOLOLOLOL its practically a belt...

And that is all for my adventures today :)

tired

Today was soooo jam packed!!!!!!!!1!one!!2

...jam packed full of nothing.

Tried finishing that art assignment on Cubism this morning; all I ended up doing was making it look good but it has no decent content...meh

Ate a pie for lunch, that looked burnt at the top but was still cold on the inside...grr

Then I got punched in the face with an epic fireball of "omgsotired"

Why?

2 kids who play 6th grade violin violin  = omg
1 girl my age who plays 8th grade violin = so
3 hours of sitting on my ass doing accompaniment for these people = TIRED

The fact that I earned $120 compensates very nicely though :) and the fact that I got along pretty well with the girl my age was just as nice! It helps that she's asian. Seeing as all asians know each other...and we have mutual friends which isn't that surprising

I FINALLY get to eat my cookie now, gosh...so hungry and tired and I cbf practicing piano tonight...THAT WOULD MEAN THAT I SPENT 1/6TH OF MY DAY SITTING AT THE PIANO

Sadness ensues.

shopping?

I haven't shopped in SO long...and I mean actually SHOP!! D:

Original plan was to go to MC and watch Wild Child, but Susan called me first thing in the morning saying that she was gonna see Wild Child with her other friend for her birthday and she couldn't exactly say no...which was fine with me coz I'm suuuch an understanding friend and all :D So I walked to her place at 1, her mum dropped us off at Chadstone and we spent almost 4 hours there...oh my GOD

I reckon Susan (and Steph) are the only people I can actually shop with, coz we all don't care which stores we wanna check out, we all have different tastes and we're all honest to each other if we look like shit...

Anyways, so we dragged each other from store to store, looking for nothing in particular...Forever New is the bestest! We pretty much went there first and tried on a million things for fun :) I can pull off all kinds of flowy dresses and she can pull off all the cute, straight ones...so obviously I got jealous of her petite'ness and she got jealous of my height haha. Found a really pretty dress I wanted to pick up for the annual piano concert, but it was $100 so I left it...

Store to store to store...ended up in Myer, looked around and again, tried on tonnes of clothes (Susan tried on wayyy more) and I bought a yellow singlet with stars on it :) That's how desperate for summer I am...PLUS I've worn my damn chatterbox shirt to death :P Susan walked away with...nothing

I called mum and told her about the $100 dress, and she said yes I can buy it! "Extremely early xmas present" she said...except, I'm paying for it o.o I don't understand that logic, but whatever...

Went back to Forever New, tried on a few more things for the heck of it, bumped into PV and bought the dress. The lady at the counter started talking to me about lingerie at Myer?? uh huh...anyway pic! It kind of reminds me of that Marilyn Monroe white dress now that I look at it...

What gets to me is that I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SIZE I AM. The dress was an 8 (and a bit loose coz I don't really...fill it out), the other dresses I tried on were 8's and I was literally POURING myself into them. AND my singlet was a size 12...what the eff =___= Also...it gets to me that you can't really wear the same dress twice haha :P You look back on photos of formal occasions and if you're wearing the same thing, it looks like the same event...boo screw that, I bet I'll re-wear this one anyway

After that we just went home...I pigged out far too much while we watched Atonement (which I am yet to finish and will do so now)

rye & photos galore!

Got up at some crazy early time to get everything done (ie, practice piano) before leaving to go to our beach house :D Left at around 10:30 (fine, so maybe I woke up at a reasonable hour) and sat on the car for around an hour with my earphones in, attempting to block out the whines of an 8 year old. Fail. I ended up giving in and we played I Spy for about 20 minutes

Soph: "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with...P"
Annette: "um um um FIRE!!"
Soph: "...Fire starts with an F?"

Annette: "I spy something beginning with my little eye...I mean...I spy something starting with G with my little eye..."
Soph: "...."

Inside of our holiday house:
- One double bed, one bunk bed and one single bed
- 2 Couches fold out to a really comfy bed (minimum 7 sleeping spots available :D)
- Dining table is extendable
- The toilet has a leak
- The TV antenna fails
- The backyard is disgusting right now...

The closest beach (dead jellyfishes; our epic double sandcastle with a moat and tunnels and some crazy 90 degree swinging skills)

Went back to Annette's place for dinner, I was so bored I read a science encyclopedia and played Junior Monopoly with the kid...then played some dodgy board game that she made haha

Conversation during dinner:

Cousin: "So do you teenagers have crazy parties and stuff"
Soph: "Yeah some do...eh not my thing"
Cousin: "Binge drinking?" (he pronouned it as "bingie")
Soph: "mmm..."
Cousin: "And advertising your parties on the internet like that Corey kid?"
Soph: "...kinda...not...really" (not loving the perception everyone has of kids my age...)
Annette: "HEY SOPH DO YOU LIKE BALLOONS AT PARTIES!!!"
Everyone: "O.O"

So that was it :) its kinda nice spending family time every so often but I seriously don't have the energy to keep up with an 8 year old...ahh getting old

be happy :D

fun times

Got dragged out of my room at 10am to take photos of mum and gran in our front yard (flowers are in full bloom - they last a week before they drop dead)

...What weirdos. It runs in the family :(

Afternoon, picked up Erika from the station, waited for Mark and trekked to the park to wait for Min...then ditched Min who was IN THE CITY and went to buy cupcake and cookie mix :D Made our adorable little cupcakes and our huge cookies without any disasters (yay for Erika's existence)

nommmmmm... (lol @ the bent cookie at the top...)

Played around in the park and everyone went off on their ways

I swear, Erika spent her entire day insulting Mark...goshhh o.o but that's how she rolls dude, don't take it too hard :) Mum wasn't happy with Fred being there, just coz he was uninvited and Min's boyfriend...haha :P Grandma says that Mark is very well mannered and "HE SPEAK CHINESE :O"

Susan and fam coming over soon WOOHOO haven't seen her since our tree time a few weeks ago...might edit onto this later if I'm not tired :)

Edit: Righto, so Susan came over and we had a massive dinner yummm...talked while watching "Make Me A Supermodel" and "Ghost Whisperers" (such shoddy shows =/) and yeah that's about it :) We decided on going out tomorrow but apparently I'm going to Rye with Annette tomorrow =__=

a piece of my phone

As I was bluetoothing yesterday's pics off my phone, I came across a few things of amusement:

Munchies in maths? Pi pie :) (it's a cupcake, but whatevs)

Graphing a nuclear decay experiment, ft skittles...

And so today, I got left at home while mum did her asian grocery shopping...I did some piano, did some art and sat around being bored :( After lunch, I went for a looooongg walk to Steph's place to drop off her b'day present, seeing as I didn't go to her party yesterday. It was a sticky tape dispenser in the shape of an old school cassette tape :D She showed me her recent artworks (coz that's how she always rolls) and they're AMAZING as always (the photos don't do it justice):

And she calls these ROUGH SKETCHES - holy spit, if I came up with that kinda thing I'd call them a MASTERPIECE

Walked off to the shops to get some stuff, went to the library to borrow some books (I've reread Harry Potter to death...) and then sat in the park and read...mmm so relaxing...then Mark crashed my party and I was no longer a loner :) (edit: umm the sun blasted the right side of my face and now my tan is two toned D:)

Might be staying at the beach house tomorrow til Saturday, but I got no one to bring on such short notice...I really wanted to go next week coz Emma's in NZ this week and I promised to take her but ehhh we'll see

de-rooting and up-rooting

Someone explain the difference between de-rooting and uprooting...if there is even a difference. If de-rooting is even a word?

Anyway, so after yesterday it was best that I stayed home today, meaning I'm missing out on Steph's party :( Got woken up at 9am by the doorbell, signalling that Annette (niece) was here to be babysat.

After lunch, we did a bit of weeding together :) I swear, there's a forest full of weeds in the backyard around the lemon tree...so many weeds in fact, that I had to walk through the shed instead of around it, like i used to D:

USE THOSE MUSCLES!!

"...I GOTS MOAR DAN YOUUU"

After semi-clearing out that forest (hayfever ftl), I decided to take her to the park to reward her for her slavery efforts :) She's improved in basketball!! I'm training her well, wahahaha...

Swing competition (little asian poser haha)

Things I am no longer able to do due to height and not age:

I wanna be 8 again...ah, brb gotta youtube around for Alvin and the Chipmunks for the kid <3

melb show + crazy days + wild nights = tired x5

SO, where to start...basically, 5 girls + 2 guys were going to the show, then 4 girls were going to stay overnight at Crown Towers (the main one, haha) because Min's mum had a free night there :) Who knew we'd end up spending barely any time at the show, and having the guys sleep over too? O.O"

Yesterday, 9am
Woke up far too late, made breakfast, got the papers, stressed out about getting everything done before I left for the city

11:31am
Caught the train with a bag full of stayingovernightcrap. Chucked my stayingovernightcrap out the train door to Min's grandpa so he could take it to Crown. Arrived at Fliders, spotted the Leah and Amanda (hard to miss the patches of fluoro) and headed off towards Melbourne Central so Min could go buy that gross purple hoodie (which she didn't buy coz it was $100, far too big and it was gross, as i said). Ended up playing pool in Barcode, as usual...

1:30pm
Fred and Benny arrived, and took a good guess that we were in Barcode :) Played another game and went off to Crown to collect our room key, stopping off at DFO on the way coz Min/Amanda wanted a new bikini...yeah, that failed haha

2:30pm
At Crown, waiting for the key to arrive...killing time by playing on Min's mum's iPhone, Amanda and Benny went off to get icecream for us, Erika disappeared with them (?) and the rest of us wasted time throwing Fred's stress ball at each other

3:30pm
Key arrives. ABOUT TIME OMG ALKJSDHLKJASDH!!! Went upstairs, dropped off all our junk and hung around in our room for a bit and left for the show...FINALLY!! *tears out hair*

Room

Bathroom (I'm eating icecream haha)

4:30pm
Saved myself $4 by pretending to be 15...aw c'mon, I'm only a month over :P Went in and it was FULLY crowded. Walked around watching people play those lame games, went on the Hangover ride with Erika, Min and Leah.
So Erika and I are hanging upside down 100m in the air and she decides to say, "Imagine if these black security things suddenly broke!"....GOOD ONE, SHEESH. Hung on for dear life until I had two feet on the floor. Leah said the same thing to Min on the other side, and Min had the same reaction :) We got off the ride, Amanda and Benny got on...we waited, we froze and somehow, Fred ended up going ALL the way back to Crown to get us our jackets and pants and whatever else...DOUCHEBAG!! But thanks so much all the same, haha. Didn't do anything else after he left, just checked out the showbags. Got an Elmo showbag coz I wanted the little badges/phone thing/hat, and I gave the rest to my niece: bag, lunchbox, towel and notepad :)

Hardcore. I haz it.

+ Amanda picked up a $3 hammer that eventually deflated due to a hole...

7:30pm
Went back to Flinders, to Birrarung Marr to the massive ferris wheel for a bit of a wind-down...just Erika, Amanda, Benny and I this time. I swear, I could stay on that wheel and fall asleep, it's so relaxing and the breeze was just perfect. Tip for the guys - take your ladies there for a date ;)

8:00pm
Chinatown, eating dinner - same ol shiz, tofu rice :) but this time spicy. Amanda and I split it and she ended up feeling sick afterwards :(. Everyone goes off to the asiantoycatchingplace whilst Leah and I trek up to Melbourne Central to check the movie times. Leah went and gave money to a hobo and a busker...no offence to the hobos and buskers but - what the hell? Trekked back to the asiantoycatchingplace to tell the rest of the what time the movie was on, and bumped into the fobs from school on the way there. TOTALLY didn't recognise them, all dressed up and everything O.O"

9:15pm
HALFPIPE!! Watched The Mummy 3 WOO, it was awesome...the fact that it was late night movie in thehalfpipe :) The movie was good enough I suppose haha, Amanda and Benny went off to see Wall-E coz The Mummy ain't their thing.

Dropped Leah off with her parents (they didn't let her stay), and then walked back to Crown like crazy drunk hobos. Erika picked up a coffee on the way, CRAZY GIRL. The others ended up back at Birrarung Marr and did whatever, Amanda and I decided to head back coz our legs hurt. Amanda showered, I soaked my feet in the bath, we played spit and just chilled around and talked...they went off to Galactice Circus til 2am and whaddaya know...when Amanda and I decide to leave the room, they decide to come back =__= so we ended up meeting them midway, and having a 2am snack of popcorn chicken :)

3:00am
Fred kicked a piece of tambark that was on the carpet and started bleeding everywhere = not pretty. Started a game of uno with everyone. At this point, our brains are really sluggy, and the boys had to stay coz the last train left longggg ago haha. Fred and Benny played some random card game, Erika and Min played spit and Amanda and I stuffed ourselves into bed.

3:30am
Amanda and I are the only ones left o_o The rest of them went for a latenight/earlymorning walk. Not sure what happened, but I gathered that Min took a nap on Fred for 2 hours (or they were making out, who knows) and Erika and Benny talked nonstop for 2 hours...and by this point, I'm guessing it's almost 6am LOL

7:00am
Awoke for a second, checked the time and went back to sleep

9:30am
Awoke for a second, checked the time and leapt out of bed coz we got a wake-up call that we couldn't work out how to turn off. Turns out it wasn't a wake up call, but someone was actually calling us to tell us that CHECK OUT WAS IN HALF AN HOUR!! We all go into a frenzy of "omgiwannagoforaswim!" and "omgneedtopackup!". Someone knocks on the door, Fred answers it and...he shouldn't have =___= we were all getting changed, and he was the only one left...the guy at the door was a friend of Min's mum...did a double take at the fact that Fred was not female and told Min's mum...Min receives an angry phone call regarding the fact that she told her mum that the boys left before the movie. I attempted reasoning with her mum, but her mum patiently told me to get Min back on the phone. After hanging up, we attempt to fill out the holes in her lies and hopefully she isn't grounded for life

10:30am
I leave for home, the rest go to Chinatown or Melbourne Central. I get a phone call from Min's DAD who wanted to talk to her...obviously she wasn't with me, so I told him so =/ which must have pissed him off, because I heard him yell stuff as he was hanging up...I desperately hope that everything's gonna be okay D: If Min winds up at Erika's house tonight...uh oh

SO that was it for our crazy adventures (I think). I suppose it didn't turn out the way I expected, but it was fun anyhow. I'm seriously tired right now, my teeth hurt from the ortho's (gotta hold out for another 6 weeks of braces I hope...) and I'm too lazy to do anything. I told mum about the boys staying over because I had the whole guilty conscience thing happening...I can't keep anything from mum, I swear hahaha. I suppose I told her because I felt so lucky that she and Dad let me out overnight in the first place...it's never gonna happen again, that's for sure :P

(oh but either way...I AM SO NOT TELLING DAD WHAT HAPPENED)

What have I learnt from this experience?
- I spend too much money on food
- I spend too much money on drinks
- An uneven number of people in a group is odd (odd meaning strange, not odd as in...stating the obvious)
- Make sure a female answers the door of a hotel when it's meant to be a girls night only
- Leah is turning into Min
- Rides and games at the show are a rip-off
- I sleep like a dead log
- MUST DRINK WATER
- I spend too much money on drinks...
- Never wear thongs for an entire day
- My own bed pwns a 5 stay hotel bed any day

day one.

I've decided to blog with capital letters from now on...purely because I read my blogs back and it's actually really irritating to read because of my lack of punctuation :P Either way it's gonna be annoying because my fingers now have to stretch to that shift button every time I want a capital letter...

Anyway, today's been really unproductive and relaxing, which is AWESOME. Too bad the weather's been pretty weird o_o

Had tutoring in the morning, pretty sure most of it went in one ear and out the other (sorry tutor...!) mainly because my insides were spazzing out about holidays :)

Mum and Dad are off to do finishing touches to our beach house, so I had to wait til Dad got home to say my goodbyes :) They're staying overnight (Saturday to Sunday) and I'm going out and staying out at *insert hotel name here* with some friends from Sunday to Monday so I won't be seeing them for 2 whole days :( Oh, and by hotel, I don't mean some dodgy place...and by friends, I don't mean potential rapists...GIRLS NIGHT OUT OKAY! Shall undisclose the name of the hotel when I'm back home haha, I just don't want creepo's following me there coz it's pretty well known and all...

ANYWAY, park with Mark at three under our tree (love the rhyme'ness). The weather was really really dodgy, the sun was out but it was CRAZY windy and every few minutes it was cold, then warm, then cold, etc (melbourne weather no?). Me with my intelligence had a jacket and Mark with his unintelligence just had wind up his pants and armpits. YAY FOR TELLING THE WORLD :D Time went by in a flash as always, talked about all sorts of crap as always...had to change trees due to dog shite, so we officially have our tree :) the other tree is reserved for the boyfriend so he can lie on poop hahaha. AND Mark made me sit on his bike handlebars so he could ride me down the road to my death (which didn't happen BUT IT WAS REALLY SCARY).

You know what's weird o_o typing "Mark" when I know he reads this...it's as weird as saying "Today, Soph went to the shops and bought beef" or something...YEAH like talking about myself in third person

Or maybe I'm just not used to looking at capital letters when it comes to names. Soph looks bloody weird with a capital S. Actually, Soph always looks weird...hang on, I'm talking about myself in third person now =/

Need to eat dinner soon, got theory kids to teach in around an hour =__= hopefully I don't have anything too difficult to teach this week...ENOUGH OF THESE DOTTED NOTES AARRRGHH

Edit: currently in class now (I know, blogging while working...this job is fantastic :D) and the poor kid's mum said "Homer really likes you! He thinks you're a good teacher and prefers to have one on one classes"...embarrassment much?!

WOOOOHOOOOOO

ITS FRIDAY!!

and and guess what I WENT OUT ON A FRIDAY NIGHT AGAIN HAHA

but that doesnt mean im not a social retard :)

anyways, we found out the captains today!! i lost my bet, there weren't any tears this year...just a lot of screaming...anne and georgie got school captains (of course), biro got music (of course) and my house captains are mell and lucy, who i voted for so WOO...the rest are all totally well-deserved and im SO looking forward to seeing them up there every week in assembly! haha

spent almost 2 hours sitting alone, sketching calendar designs in viscomm...friends were repelled from me due to the fact that they missed the previous class coz of bio excursion. lonerr

crammed for chem test during lunch, didn't learn very much and pretty much asian failed the thing...didn't know brass had no tin in it =__= and i didn't know what you add to gold to make it harder...I THOUGHT COPPER MADE IT ROSE GOLD, NOT AKJLSDHLKJASHD okay so that failed AND LOL I CIRCLED "NaCl does not dissolve in water".......UHHHMM NaCl IS SALT YOU DOUCHEBAG =__= faaaillll

blahblah, then we had music, talked about bathrooms and toilets in japan (for some reason) and the SCHOOLS OUT, went to go see wall-e!!

cutest movie ever, seriously...i want wall-e :') afterwards, min and erika went to ddr while fred and i just watched...then fred got dragged onto ddr and MAN IS HE PRO!!! i just sat on the floor watching :) but then we (wannabe) guitar hero'd afterwards as well....ate some kfc and went home

got home at 8something, didn't get into trouble (thank god) but i had to shower and piano and now i'm sitting here reallyreally bored :)

xo

one more dayy

so i was wrong, we find out the leadership captains tomorrow first thing in the morning :P i'm betting money that people are gonna be crying...

we played war ball and pony express in PE today, got hit in the head twice in warball and once in pony express o_o which is bad coz you know...it hurts and all :) but it was good coz it meant i wasn't out if they hit me in the head hahaha

assembly was the usual stuff, hymn accompaniment and then listening to people jabber on about stuff...highlight was miffy and biro singing that french song ohmygod it was LOVE!! i really want a recording...their voices are amazing

stressed out at recess over the yearbook page submission...had to cut parts of my friend's 600 word piece of writing about urban07 so it would fit onto my layout....GAHH it was tough coz the entire piece of writing was incredible, brought back so many amazing memories :')

watched "strictly ballroom" from the start (coz the bio people missed out last time) so i worked on the yearbook page until i finished it haha...STUPID OLD LAPTOP SO LAGGY!! but the movie was awesome, love it very much. so amusing to see the dancing with the stars host/judges act in it HAHA

OMG MASS SINGING REHEARSAL IN PERIOD 5, YAYAYAYY i think i was a bit overexcited...but it's the "hey children" original song from house chorals and it sounds so cool with the whole school singing it!! kim, biro, anne and megan wrote it, they must be so effing proud to hear their original being sung by the whole school...yr 10/11 are hippos :) daaaaa...dadada.....

funniest thing was barnesy failing to play the djembe in time...ya think the music director would be able to, but no hahahaha. OHH and also in the start of the song where we go "hummmmmm" on a Bflat...the construction workers were drilling so it was like "hummmmmm" "drillllllllll" "hummmmmmmm" "drilllllllllllll" and we were in tune with the drill LOL

mm and now it's raining and its quite depressing. where art thou springtime?! well anyway, time to freak out over the chem test tomorrow, and my art folio....holidays soon!! WOOOOOOOOOO

final photography submissions :) and then some more

click on the links for details on each :)

overshadowed - double exposure [details]

focus [details]

flower eyed [details]

em with silly string haha (not a submission)

balloons without the tree, single exposure (not a submission)

FINALLY jesus, they took me forever to upload to here and deviantart...and emailing them to emma took ages too AND im gonna put them on facebook in a sec SO STOP COMPLAINING THAT I IS SLOW AT BLOGGIN JEEZ MARK

anyhoo, we had double science first up, which was just a bunch of presentations for the ENTIRE double...the only thing that happened that scared the shite out of me was when the teacher looked up and said in her angry voice "WHAT ARE YOU DOING that is NOT listening with empathy and understanding!!!" and she was looking in the direction of erika, who was sitting next to me colouring in her folder...i was shitting my pants, coz this teacher's scary o__o but turns out she was yelling at viv (sitting in front), who was also drawing...but why the feck did she yell at viv, when viv is the smartest person in the entire year level?! ALSO coz hannah and steph were drawing on either side of her as well (chem presentations were REALLY boring haha)

ya after that, i discovered i had a jap test after recess D: i thought it was tomorrow, but meh...test was easy, 20/21 for listening (DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF I DONT UNDERSTAND IF YOUR HOUSE HAS 2 TOILETS!!??) and god knows what for reading comprehension and translation....eh it was easy enough

lunch consisted of a lot of slapping, and emma kinda whacked georgia a bit too hard...meaning she left a huge handprint on her leg :) so i believe in order to beg for forgiveness, em has promised georgia that she will: help her with homework for the rest of the year, not slap her for the rest of the year and talk to her on the phone for at least 20 minutes every time she calls. ahahhaha pwned

rehearsed the hymn thing in music, traded flutes with steph coz she couldn't pitch her shitty borrowed one...so i let her use my one while i had to make do with a disgusting rusty flute =_________=

and ended the day with methods. blah.

and since it was beautiful and sunny out, i stayed in the park straight after school til like 5 with mark and just sat/lay/rofl'd under the tree...talked a heck of a lot about *LALALALLALALALALLALA*, laughed about the anna chick that wont stop calling him "babe" AHAHHAAHA and he laughed at the idea of roasting baby soph on a stick in the sun or something o_o

and now im sitting here with nothing to do whatsoever...2 DAYS TIL THE HOLIDAYS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

and we get to find out the 2009 leadership positions tomorrow too!!! wooo

the isolated

most of the year level had the bio excursion to the zoo today so the year level was pretty deserted. lunchtime was...interesting. found out lots about drama in other people's friendship groups which put me off food - it's literally like an episode of gossip girl o_o

speaking of the isolated, here's that movie poster i promised to post up haha :) details on the brief/photos/process are [here]

other than that, we got our final design brief for the unit which is to design a calendar incorporating the theme of 4 seasons...which we then get printed and bound!! i dont wanna do something tacky like literally have leaves for autumn, snow for winter blahblah...ima borrow one of the school cameras, get some shots of emma's eye and then photomanip her iris into something to do with the seasons :)

umm, developed a few more photos in the darkroom today, will upload them when im bothered to lug home my fat/heavy folio...man if emma wasn't like 2 inches tall, she should totally be a model o_o had a go at double exposing the negative, so i got 2 shots overlapped...LOVE it, was very fun/nerve-wracking to try though!

teacher forgot about our practice tech sac in music today...and we didnt bother reminding her :D meh, learnt about....wait for it...wait for it...MINOR SCALES :O OH MY GOD...IS TOO HARD! MY BRAIN IMPLODES!!!

asif

uuum, watched strictly ballroom in english - baz luhrmann's a genius, love his style! orchestra was a dud, we did chanson de matin AGAIN and then the wind section got let out early AGAIN so i had to wait in the cold for mum AGAIN. bahh.

...where the heck did spring go?!

i swear, yesterday was perfectly sunny and beautiful...and today, the clouds were fully peeing on us o_o

you know what sucks, i've totally found my mojo with school/family/friends AND HOLIDAYS ARE COMING. which is good, coz i like holidays :) but bad, coz im gonna lose my mojo =__=

anyways, things are hopefully gonna start looking up from today onwards :) i finished all my work on the weekend, even with all the stuff that's been happening...see what i mean by "i found my mojo"? usually, i finish my work and its like *HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF* but these past weeks, i finish my work and its like *WHAT TO DO NEXT!!*

so i'm on top of everything, including that english essay that i thought was due today but is actually due thursday

so i spent class time reading the leaked version of midnight sun :) haha

double maths, i dont remember much...just laughing about "THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST!!" and eating cherry ripes

didn't have the 40 word vocab test in jap coz the teacher's still sick...which buggered me off coz i learnt all 40 words, haah

and we couldn't do any developing work in art coz one of the fobs turned the light on in the dark room while a year 12 person was working on their VCE folio so everything was screwed up =____=

nothing too great to blog about...hoorah for ordinary days :)

dot dot dot

happy engagement anniversary mum&dad! love you

sunny/windy day yet again, hayfever played up while bikeriding with susan and now im itchy and grrr...and it's also mooncake festival so there's like 120938123 people coming for dinner ahhhh

mm, i have that weird feeling in my tummy right now...everything e said to me yesterday has kinda kicked in and im not sure what im thinking =/ i still feel the same happiness for her as i did yesterday, but my initial reaction of "awwww yay" kinda turned to a "..........mm..." after sleeping on it...

mfmfajshfnmasjkhd

i dont really have a reason to feel weird actually, its more like im just bouncing off her emotions...yeah i think i'll convince myself it's that and i think i'll be okay :) @ noob, we're both more concerned about your mental health so yeah, hope you're okay!

edit: im fine now o_o must have been a moment of a brain spasm, i think

happy, content and generally in a great mood :)

morning: had a huge/deep chat with erika for an hour and something...a good cleansing of the soul and setting things straight :) more for her than for me, but it makes me happy to see my friends get things off their chest...and its good to see her trying to be more open. especially since i blurt out everything in my heart to her and get nothing in return :P keep it up, i love you muchly :D (i re-read that, and it makes no sense to outsiders. which is good, seeing as i just realised my personal life is actually extremely complicated haha)

afternoon: lay under my tree again for an hour and a half with susan...missed you sooooo much girl!! the weather is too beautiful *lovelovelove*. had a great chat about everything in general...crazy stuff that's been happening in both our lives, the stuff that i talked about with erika, yeah....the usual light stuff you talk about :P nah, but i find it's really good to have friends outside of school. i sometimes wonder if there are people who don't have friends outside of school...it would personally drive me insane :S there's only so much you can talk about with people who know everything you're gonna talk about (if that makes sense). like susan and i can exchange the latest drama that's been happening with our friends, and nothing would get in the way because we don't know each others' friends (if that...also makes sense)

okay yeah enough of that...so what i'm trying to say is, talking about stuff > bottling it in...sometimes it has a shit effect (i learnt that the hard way), but other times its like organising a messy puzzle piece into something that will eventually be pieced together and hung on the wall to be admired

OMG ITS FRIDAY

i swear, every friday my blogs are titled the same as the one above...

just finished having dinner with my second cousin, her boyfriend and her parents (so my great aunt/uncle who i've never met in my life...the beauty of an asian family)

good to see them all again, but does dinner REALLY have to take 2 hours?! grr, wasting my precious time...

so today was an awesome day, happy weather (except at recess and lunchtime) and nice subjects :) had art theory, but it was just watching presentations on realism and impressionism. had jap, but we didn't have a vocab test coz the teacher was sick, but that means i have a 40 word vocab test on monday instead of 20 today and 20 monday =__= had double music, and got out of analysis crap due to listening to recordings from the jazz soiree which i unfortunately missed out on :( andd i had maths which is meh, and viscom which was just finishing off the movie poster evaluation and finalising the folio (I FORGOT TO GET MY POSTER OFF THE H DRIVE SORRY HAHA)

the weather was SO good after school, mum and i picked up some stuff for the dinner and tried to find some flowers to put in the middle of the table o_o which failed, so the table has a vase with candles in the shape of roses instead (equally as pretty). mum has a thing for making simple dinners into huge fancy things haha, even if it's just family

and coz the weather was so great i went for a run round the park and then plonked down in my fave spot under the tree with mark for like half an hour...coz mum wanted me to come home earlier and rate her outfits =___= lol'd at the random asian jogger in the full blue costume of shirt and shorts...so sexy no? and now my arms and legs itch from lying on the grass...ew

OH AND ALSO HAHA IF YOU GOOGLE "naked man gardiner's creek" MY BLOG COMES UP 2nd HAHAHA thanks leah for telling me...why the crap were you googling that phrase anyway?! perve

NOWAI

20/20 on methods tech free
22.5/25 on methods tech active

OHMYGOD!!!

and an A+ each for my 4 chem pracs

am so incredibly proud of myself...i think i've found a balance in life right now - i'm working hard, but not so hard that there's dents in my brain :) im getting out of the house, but not so much that i'll get raped by that naked man who jumps out from trees near gardiners creek

I AM NOT KIDDING!! we got an announcement to go home with a friend, coz of that naked guy AGAIN...jeesh, i swear it happens twice a year. naked guy jumps out from a tree, gets arrested....naked guy number 2 jumps out from tree, gets arrested....and they're always around gardiner's creek? and its never the same guy? IS THERE A NAKED GUY CLUB OR SOMETHING

oh and we had swim trials today...i predicted correctly, 20-30 of the girls had their *period* hahaha

and also in chem, we ate cadbury milk trays :) not the chocolate, the tray...go buy one, chuck the chocolates (coz who wants chocolate right?) and go nom on the tray, it's really funny :P a few of the people were totally chomping on it, and they ended up with purple mouths...

mmyep that's all. OH i finished my viscom poster, it's not bad but it doesn't look like a movie poster at all =___= will post it up tomorrow or something (gotta remember to take it from the school computer)

bit of a personal one here

Most of my blogs are all "what i have done today" kinda blogs...journal entries, if you will

But I suppose every now and then I go through a spasm of mushy sentimentalness where I have to let out my full feelings for anything and everything :P and besides, today was boring so here we go:

At the end of yesterday/beginning of today, I've fully realised how lucky I am to have such a great family that I'm really close to...I mean, some people hate their parents, hate their siblings etc etc, and it makes me wonder why =/ I've discovered that mum is quite okay with anything I tell her, and I'm quite okay telling her anything that's on my mind. Different story with dad, coz he's not around enough, but like I've said previously, he just wants the best for me and I understand that now. Obviously when I was younger (even only a few months ago), all I wanted to do was rebel against life decisions that dad made for me...okay, rebel ain't the right word but since when have I been fantastic with words =___= but you get the drift - asian father wants daughter to be a med student, the daughter wants to do ANYTHING except that. I guess I'm just trying to say I'm so thankful they pushed me as a kid...I hated it back then, I took them for granted and EVERYTHING every kid does when they're growing up. You know when parents say, "You'll thank me for it when you're older!"? Yeah, well I hate to admit it but it's true :) Thanks mum and dad, I love you beyond anything.

Mark...you just called me the moment I finished typing your name haha, it's like you knew I was typing about you D: Just wanted to say I'm glad I'm getting to know you as of lately :) If ever there was a "trip and die, crash and burn" moment in my life involving a boy it would involve me, dad, and a huge phone bill I'll probably come running to you first :) just coz it's so easy to talk to you and I don't think I'll ever work out why that is o_o I love you stacks, and I reckon when I read this in a year's time, nothing would have changed (I have the amazing ability to jinx things so maybe I shouldn't have said that haha). *lessthan*noob3's (STUPID HTML WON'T LET ME TYPE THE LESS THAN SIGN) for life bro, you're amazing and don't think for a second that you're any less than that :)

Irene, you're not gonna read this but I just wanted to wish you a safe trip to Korea :D have a great time, BRING ME BACK A BLACK INKY PEN COZ I DONT THINK I CAN LIVE WITHOUT MINE ONCE IT'S RUN OUT!!!! But, we'll miss you so much omg, it's SO weird whenever a person is missing from our group of friends. Imagine next Tuesday when you're all on the bio excursion...it's only me and Erika left =/ I love it how all of us just fit together in our demented kinda way :) we complete each other, we annoy each other, we make each other laugh til our abs snap...and to top it off, we all have different pms habits (Y) Loud, quiet, girly, dorky, weird, awkward, funny, crazy - we haz it. I always wonder how we'll end up in 10, 20 years time...will we still be as close as we are now? I reckon so, but yeah okay...yeah shuttup, I probably jinxed THAT too :P I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

So there's my pathetic attempt at breaking my usual blog boundaries :) I fail at using words the way others can...both in textual and verbal format =____= BY THE WAY DID ANYBODY NOTICE THAT I USED CAPITAL LETTERS AND PUNCTUATION IN THE RIGHT PLACE IN THIS BLOG :D :D :D Be proud of me

human relations day (repost)

righto, so i had a blog up before but i was pretty pissed off and now im back to sanity thanks to a bit of piano therapy haha

well human relations day was on today, and it was really boring all day...

but MAN the school we were at...is HUGE omg =/ me and anna took 10 minutes to find the toilets, coz people kept directing us to different places.

anyway before recess = getting to know people, breaking the ice etc...i had: sara, anna, the other soph, katie, rachel, jackie, (let's test my name memory here *fail*) nick, dave, bart, auty, alex, jack, harry, will...i think that's it =/ anyway, watched a few scenes from particular movies (juno, remember the titans, 8 legged freaks and sisterhood of the travelling pants) and talked about relationship communication and boring stuff like that

recess time came round, CAKE WOOOOOOO. attempted to hang out with mark, josh and ? but teacher came round and kicked them away coz we HAD to socialise with year 10s =_____= after recess was the fun time, coz it was just group games :)

games:
- we all made a circle and there's a HUGE ball in the middle...2 people in the middle have to try and not get hit by the ball while everyone else tries to knock them with it :P
- tug-o-war (girls against boys, we won with 2 guys on our side :P)
- marco polo type game
- some random game with sticks...
- line up in order of bday without speaking, if you screw up everyone has to do pushups (3 people screwed up, punishment was 15 situps and 15 pushups and now my arms are dead)
- we lay down in a line and had to pass this little asian kid over the top of us without dropping him or our faces will get smashed
- passed a beanbag from head to head
- passed a tennisball from neck to neck (it was like neck sex haha)

after that, was LUNCH (i think food was the highlight of my day...) sausage sizzle, potatoes, salad, potato cakes, calamari and tea haha. we made alice drink salad dressing.....amusing stuff :P saw a few old school friends, only said hi to 2 of them though. you know how awkward it is when you know you recognise people, and you know they recognise you....but you just look away hahaha

so yeah, after lunch was more shoddy discussion time, the peer leaders (who did a great job :D) did some role playing and we had to talk aout rape, internet blah, meeting people and awkward situations etc etc

there was also an activity where we had to order a bunch of words (respect, honesty, being yourself, love, trust, sex etc etc) in order of importance in a relationship. all the guys had put sex up the top...surprise surprise

and after that was the part where the girls got together and wrote down ANY questions to ask the guys and vice versa :P it was funny, but it also pissed me off coz i learnt how disrespectful guys are towards girls...

girls: "if you were having sex with a girl, would you be afraid of hurting her?"
guys: "no"

girls: "if your girlfriend was ready for sex, would you dump her straightaway?"
guys: "yes"

those 2 pissed me off to a major degree...yeah, ive always heard that guys can be dickheads but i didn't think they'd be that blunt about it =/ those of you who caught my blog from a few hours ago will probably know how angry i was hahaha, really wanted to punch them all in the face

other questions that were asked and answered were things like
- how often do you jack off and for how long?
- do you think the size of your peepee matter?
- WHY DO GUYS LIKE BOOBS SO MUCH
- do periods gross you out
- what do girls do to look hot before a party
- how often do girls wear g-strings
- do you shave down there?

ETC ETC :D :D hahahah, yeah well...horny boys and sick minded girls :)

hmph but im just gonna do a bit of "contain yourself soph" bitching about year 10 guys now...they're so immature =__= there's the occasional niceguy but most of them are pretty much idiots who think they're too cool...that's all im saying

in general the day sounded like fun but it sucked more than it was fun...and ive concluded that being a girl > being a guy, and year 11 boys > year 10 boys

fin.

art & fail dress

wow, today went REALLY fast for some reason...

i misread my timetable, I ACTUALLY DON'T MISS DOUBLE ART TOMORROW! but i do miss a single period, which is killing me on the inside :) developed a photo of em, not fully happy with it so i stayed at school til 4:30 to do it again and again and again...

first attempt - fleck of dust on the hand, top part too light
second attempt - out of focus, face too dark (i fail at dodging hahaha)

the scans are darker than the actual image coz my lighting sucks, plus i flipped the negative so the image isn't the right way up haha

anyways, after recess = viscom (nearly finished my movie poster), then jap (sub teacher woo)

lunchtime, ate my sandwich and fruit in 5 mins i was so effing hungry =___= got amusement out of min wanting to feed everyone their lunch (video'd that haha)

mm then we had music, which i currently detest coz its either analysis work or....analysis work. AND WE ACTUALLY GOT HOMEWORK which is SUCH a waste of time...melodic dictations. WHO THE FRICK GIVES 10 PAGES OF MELODIC DICTATION TO PEOPLE WITH PERFECT PITCH? IM SORRY IF I SOUND IMMODEST HERE BUT ADSLKJHLDKJHAS WHAT A BLOODY WASTE OF TIME

anyway, then we had english and me and erika were kinda tipsy from the end of music...we were talking about human relations day and i was saying how there's gonna be dorky people with their pants tucked into their socks....and then somehow, erika added that they're have their collars tucked into their shoes o_o and we were yelling "lol, lol, rofl" at each other and it turned into "waffle!! waffle!!"

yes, needless to say we got nothing done

mm, so i just got home and mum went on a spending spree at target o_o almost everything was under $5, it was crazy...even this really cool zac posen dress that was $140, down to about $10... (i cut the woman's head out coz her face scares me. plus, she looks really old in it and wears it funny...OK THE PIC JUST DOES NOT DO THE DRESS JUSTICE)

ITS SIZE 6!!! NO WAYYYYY AS IF BE SIZE 6!!!! AHHHH  WHYYYYYYYYYYY MUST THE LAST SIZE LEFT BE A 6!!! cmon if it was an 8 i might be able to wear it without breaking the damn dress, omggggg *cries*

the dress was only $10 coz someone my size mustve tried it on and broke the zip...but i tried it on and i couldn't seal up the broken bit :( the belt was too small by 1cm...soo unfairrrr

so mum's giving it to my piano teacher...damn piano teacher and her amazing size 6 body haha

i shall go mourn now

from dad:

My dearest daughter,
Thank you for the gift.
I'm always proud of you, no matter what.
I'm also proud of myeself myself for having a daughter who is so determined and committed to things she does.
Love from your dad.
*signature*

HAHA NICE ENGLISH SKILLS DAD. my father's day note had the ability to make dad cry, and his note to me had the ability to look like a business letter to a client. especially the signature at the end *rollseyes*

plus, i gave him a cable turtle and he has no idea what it is but he says he likes it anyway :P

most people seem to be taking dad out to lunch or dinner, but mine took himself out to a game of golf...now he's how chowing down wontons coz the golf club has bad food

anyway, happy father's day to the dads (and mrs dad's) out there :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i love having a lazy weekend, absolutely no homework to do (i hope...coz if i do have homework im gonna get a nasty surprise when i get back to school)

the sun's out again, will go waste time outside and hopefully not get hit by rogue pebbles. there's also a painful zit forming on my back

coz you had to know

edit// WHAT THE HELL, IT'S POURING RAIN NOW...melbourne weather, DAMN YOU. was gonna go walking, but went to safeway instead...drumstick snack size nom nom (the end bit = the best bit)

and i got a new hairbrush, BUT I CANT WORK OUT HOW TO GET IT OFF THE TAG!! help would be appreciated. its like...screwed on or something O_O
