month-long illness

So I've been sick since the winter break, which is a pretty damn long time...I'm pretty sure it was since I got my wisdoms out, my immune system has just been completely KO'd :( Post-wisdom removal I fevered up to 39.5C and then recovered a week later. Just when I think I'm all good, I wake up 2 weeks later with another fever which transitioned into a case of pharyngitis. 10 days of medication later, I have a ridiculous dry cough that won't go away. More medication...and now I have a runny nose. COME ON IMMUNE SYSTEM, WHY DO YOU SUCK?

I hate how this is getting in the way of my life...antibiotics didn't really stop me from partying on my 19th birthday though :P Had an AMAZING night, best birthday ever! It started out pretty stressful though, I had uni until 4:15 (couldn't skip since it was a test) so Amanda and I got home at 5:15 and had approximately 1.5 hours to shower, eat dinner, do hair and do makeup. This turned out to be quite a mad rush, which was pretty exciting at the same time...however, we caught the planned train and arrived 20 minutes before the boat cruise began. This potentially would've been fine, except there were NO TRAMS FROM FLINDERS TO DOCKLANDS. We should've been at Docklands at 7:30, but at 7:35 we were still at Flinders...so we just took ANY tram and ended up at Southern Cross, which was even worse cos there was definately no tram from there :( Luckily a nice cab driver actually stopped for us with an empty cab and let us squish an extra person, then drove like a madman to the boat (of course we got held up by a red light) and we got there 10 minute before departure! SO MUCH STRESS!

It was so great having a birthday at the same time as an Aa event, cos all my friends were there and people buy you birthday drinks :D And generally being on a boat is fun. Dancing/walking is difficult when the boat tilts though, and it's reallyyy windy outside

6 to go

In 24 hours time, I should have finished my language analysis and moving onto my final essay ever on 1984...WEEOW! 18 more days and I will be totally. Free.

It feels like time has come to a complete grinding halt, but at the same time if it moves any faster I'll fail all my exams due to lack of preparation. I'm currently not sure how to even study for English...do I just read old essays/study notes again and again, do another essay under time pressure, do some plans...?

I think I'll just wing it =___= no kidding, under exam pressure I come up with some incredible bullshit that you just can't do at home under fake exam pressure. Plus, I've lost my quote sheet amongst my table mess...even though I tidied it 5 days ago.

Another big issue is...how does one resist going to the toilet for 3 hours?! I can't just get up to go pee without losing precious writing time :(

ONE DOWN ish

YAYAYAY NO MORE JAPANESE ORAL EVER :) In the time that I've struggled to battle this thing I have cried 3 times and endured the pain of random Japanese syllables invading my brain when I least want them to.

While we were waiting, St Kevs people were right before us and we figured out who *stole* Viv W's time slot with us haha...when we were all sitting outside the rooms it felt like we were all being prepared for execution or something :| One by one we got called in until it was just Erika left waiting 10 minutes after we all started

SO, general conversation, they asked me everything I was prepared for - family, school, hobbies and future...when they asked me what I thought of our school music concert, I was like "it was excellent" and then they asked me what my PARENTS thought...and I was like "they said it was...excellent". Ran out of freaking adjectives...LOL. Also they asked me why I need Japanese in my future as a doctor and I was like "to talk to people"...so the examiner was like "don't you mean to talk to Japanese people?". I was like oh...yes...that's what I meant (*cough* didn't know how to say that anyway). The awkwardest silence came from me saying I want to eat sushi in Japan, because they were like "haven't you eaten sushi in Australia?" and I could only respond with a "yes but Japan is...good...better?"

Detailed study was strange, they pushed random things I had never studied...they asked me to compare Australian and Japanese marriages and I said "I didn't study this, but I studied the change in average marriage age" and they were like "Okay. So tell me what you learnt from the DVD"...awkward way to ignore what I said, thanks examiners =__= I didn't even get to say my conclusion, which was annoying because it would've been a great way to end on something good. Instead they were just like *awkward silence* ok no more time, finished now!

Some nervous looking guy was sitting right outside when I was done, and he was like O__O is it okay...and I was struggling to close the door so I left it half open, wished him luck and ran away to bitch about it with my Jap class. Had lunch together and got home *too late* for trial exams so here I am loading the latest ep of How I Met Your Mother :D Friggin internet is slower than dialup, no joke :(

fire in melbourne central

SOO my day's all messed up now...Lisa, Juls and I set out to watch Karate Kid today (cheap Tuesday woo!), and whilst lining up for tickets, there was some weird burning smell but we ignored it and went into the cinemas

20 minutes into the movie, the film suddenly blacked out and the sound like...slow-mo'd to a stop, lights went up and some dude came in to evacuate us all out =/ it was pretty crazy the amount of people just FLOODING down the escalators. I saw a few firemen so I assume it was a fire (and yeah, apparently a fire in the kitchen of Groove)...

The guy said we'd all get a refund blahblahblah but COME ON, I hauled my ass all the way to the city to do absolutely nothing! Like I'd come back tomorrow all over again...hrrmph. I'll get that refund hopefully next week...imagine how much it would suck if you were 10 minutes away from the end of your movie, or at the REALLY exciting part and they stopped the film ohhh man...I guess I'm thankful we were only 20 minutes in :)

OK SO I NEED TO SLEEP IN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR

Getting up at 3am will be a serious killer, taking a 6am flight to Sydney and then off to Tokyo! I won't be blogging from anywhere, but I'll keep a journal and take heaps of photos and post stuff up when I get back!

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG etc

Hopefully my host families will like me =/ and hopefully I'll like them...

If not, then I believe 3 packs of timtams per family is a sufficient bribe :)

update

HAHA @ Leah and Steph...Steph I thought you were some TOTAL random who happened to share an uncle with Leah...MAN I WAS SO STUNNED until I realised you guys were sisters =___=

So the *highlight* of my day was chem...or not. One part of the prac required putting a test tube full of shit into a blue bunsen burner flame. When we took it out, I went to turn the gas off or something, and my finger touched the bottom of the test tube - right where the flame had been burning at for a good minute or two.

*&^&^$^%#!!*@^%#*^&!%@*#^%*^%~

My first thought was OHMYGODDDDD MY UNIT 4 SOLO IS IN 5 DAYS!!!!!!!!! so I stuck my finger under running water for a bit...funnily enough it didn't hurt or anything, my knuckle was just a weird shade of yellow. Half and hour later it was definately burnt pretty bad (according to people who have been burnt before) and now it's a lot better. I let it *recover* in a bent position so I would still be able to play piano, but now it's a bit of a struggle to straighten it out. THANK GOD it wasn't the other side of my hand where I have to use more often...

So now my right hand looks like a mutilated mess because of the glissando blisters as well as this ugly burn...blah

The yr 12 leavers service was today as well...the one where it's just year 12's in a church with candles and bible receiving etc etc. It was a really nice service (ie, bearable) and I almost cried in the reflection speeches :(

SOOOO looking forward to tomorrow's revue (hopefully nothing embarrassing on me), and not so looking forward to the year 12's final assembly...*CRYYY*

pianoooo!

Had a tiny little concert with Megan and David today :D It's a huge ego killer to hear David play....what a prooooo!! I guess that's the difference between being pretty good at piano and being professionally talented and studying at Julliard etc etc :) I have to trudge over to the piano every night, whereas David happily ditches dinner to go play...waahh

He played some Brahms, Chopin and Liszt...SUCH a diva, complaining about chair height and key slipperyness :P Dad had to get out a shorter chair, bring out a few pillows, get the Mr Sheen to fix the slipperyness...gosh darnnnn, when it was my turn to play 1) I felt really inadequate to go after him, 2) had to change the height of the seat and 3) the keys were REALLY nonslip o.o

but what was even cooler was when Megan had to play violin, but forgot to bring the accompaniment music...HE JUST MADE IT UP ON THE SPOT! WTHHH! (...ok for what it's worth it's a pretty popular concerto BUT STILL!)

Afterwards he gave me some ideas on my Debussy, but I seriously struggle with my small hands :( and I have new blisters from those glissandos grr

Anyways here's some pics because my parents are so asian =__= Last time I had a lesson with him was around 10 years ago, so mum and dad got all sentimental and had to take a photo and put it next to the old photo haaahaha

It's so much less intimidating to have lessons with a pro in their 20's, rather than having lessons with Stephen who's pretty old and kinda makes me shit my pants :)

DINNER!

hahaha it was fun...we gave Megan's mum some kinda asian alcohol that tastes disgusting but she was pretty high LOOL now I know why Megan's the way she is.....hahaha :P Dad got to release his exercise junkie on David because my cousin (apparently he has an English name that I am yet to discover) is one of those typical weak asians HAHA...last time he decided to go for a run and didn't even make it halfway around the park :P

Anyways that killed a whole night and now I am, as usual, falling behind on homework :(

Jazz Soiree '09!

Why have I not been to one of these before???? BEST MUSICAL NIGHT EVER!

So yesterday was FULL ON PACKED - Wind Symphony in the morning, Explosive rehearsal during recess, International lunch, NO SPARES ALL DAY, Robyn's after school and then the Jazz Soiree

Except FOR SOME STUUUUPID REASON Wind Symphony was cancelled in the morning and replaced by Stage Band...CMON AT LEAST GIVE US SOME NOTICE? I ended up being at school at 7:30 for no reason at all (finished up on my chem titration booklet though, so it wasn't a total waste...if that counts as the 'positive' side of things =___=)

The recess rehearsal was just to check amps and stuff, I was totally irrelevant until MrStudentTeacher decided to improv with my flute part :D SOO awesome...I really don't understand how people can just listen to a piece and make stuff up o.o The rehearsal cut into my psych class though (yay), and I love that when you're REALLY late to a class then teachers don't care cos they assume you have a legit reason :P

International lunch was funnnnn! We got there a bit late, so basically we ate icing....hahaha, here's the cake we decorated with Tra and Irena :D

-blahblah-

After school I was in a serious stress, because we had no hot water from our wires shortcircuiting....the guy was fixing it AND I SERIOUSLY NEEDED TO SHOWER BEFORE I WENT TO ROBYN'S! I got there late, but not after a frenzy of hairdrying, FINDBLACKCLOTHES, makeupping and getting all my things I needed for the soireeeeee!

WHICH WAS AMAZING! OH MY GODDDDDDDDD

It was so good there are literally no highlights...who the hell can pick a favourite out of all the items!?!! TOO GOOD. I was barely in it, which was a plus because I got to listen to everybody :D The soloists were absolutely amazing...I wish SO BADLY that I could singggg! And even more, I wish I could make up crap on the spot :O I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW STEVE SEDERGREEN&CO CAN DO IT! *hail*

recordings!

Explosive :D Erika and Birooooo (+ teachers and me randomly tooting in the middle somewhere)

Falling Under composed/sung/piano by Annabelle, with Steph (violin), Liz (cello) and Liselle (trumpet)......pureeee awesome = this song

Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree - Swing Choir (so cute heh)

Makin' Whoopee, sung by Maddy :D (German exchange studenttt) + Steve Sedergreen Ensemble

I cbf uploading more...I could literally go on forever, but there's at least a mixture of instrumental/solo/choir/improv for you :D

skc formal!

More fun than I expected :D Thursday was a horribly long day though, Wind symphony in the morning and then a Jazz Soiree rehearsal after school...I was also extremely pissed at the weather because it was BEAUTIFULLY sunny all day until school ended - THUNDER AND FREAKIN LIGHTNING!!!! aaahh

So needless to say, we were really pushed for preparation time and I was really frazzled...I ate whilst Lisa showered, Claude and Megan came, I showered whilst Lisa ate, Claude went to get Keenan, us girls spent the next hour in the bathroom whilst the guys did godknowswhat...I felt so sorry for them LOL

Until THEY hogged the bathroom =____=

So anyways at 6:30 Claude's mum came to pick us up, so we all crammed into the car (I LOVE THE IN-BUILT GPS!) and she dropped us off :D Andy was EXTREMELY late so I felt really awkward being at their formal without him actually being there for half an hour....haha. The photographer lady was forcing everyone to have photos and she was SUCH a bitch =___= I had to get intro'd to the principal but Andy STILL wasn't there so some really sweet guy (I never even learnt his name?) brought me in with him as his fakedate haha

I never got a photo with him cos we took the photos at the start of the night (before I danced my makeup off....) but here's some :D

GIRLIES!

"GOD Keenan open your eyes!!"
"BUT THEY *ARE* OPEN!"
(jksjks they're not that small haha)

The thing to lean on when feet are inflicted with pain & Lisa :D

I wanna see the professional photos cos that's the only one I got with Andy, plus the group shot of the girls from our school :D and rando group shots towards the end of the night LOL

Since my date was slightly stoned (but had the most awesome white shoes!) cos he got like 2 hrs of sleep, I ditched him a lot of the night.......not in the way Steph ditched her date, and definately not the way Lisa practually disapparated away from Isaac HAHAHAHA. So since there really isn't anything else to do - WE DAAANCED :D

Except yknow how it's always the hot white kids who party it up in the middle...and the extraneous asians just hang around on the edge? Yeah...those extraneous asians started randomly JUMPING UP AND DOWN ROFLMAO but the consequences of that = people get stomped on...

How is it fair that Juliette and Sian took off their shoes all night and don't get hurt???

FML

The blueness is from a guys foot, and the red dots are from a girls heel... :( And my other foot is STILL numb from wearing the heels all night....HELPPP HOW DO I GET RID OF A SEMI-PERMANENT NUMB FOOT?

Anyways, the night finished with a stupid song to dance to - Bohemian Rhapsody?!? NICE ONE DJ =____________= sucked in a few of the SKC pimped out helium balloons before we left...got home at some stupid hour, and had to wake up again at 6:30 for choir :(

xo
ps - Annette left for the USA today :( :( :( I didn't even have the energy to cry, but mum and dad apparently bawled their eyes out...DEFINATELY GOTTA GO THERE AFTER YR 12 AND SEE HERRR!

yr 11 formal '09!

Sorry for the insane excitement HAHA...on the day of the formal, I was pretty much zoning out of all my classes until we were allowed to go home :P Leah came home with me, we bummed around for hours and hours because we weren't going out to get our hair and makeup done

-skip until 5pm-

Amanda came, and her mum did my nails! Forgot to take a photo of them but I've cut my nails now :( Basically just a French manicure with some nail art...really pretty! Amanda fully looked like a princess with her tiara, updo and longgg purple dress, omgosh :D People started rolling into my house, including little Belle :D Erika looked same as usual cos she's always gorgeous and didn't wear more makeup than she usually does, just some false eyelashes. Lisa came in and her makeup was AMAZING! Professional really makes a difference haha, she was like pearly and glowy...Benny also came all suited up and matching Erika's dress :) Trust Min to not get there til the last minute......

We ate some finger food (or toothpick food because my mum is so asian) and took some photos...cbf posting them all up but here's a group shot
Guess how many different types of asians are there...hahaha

And Belle, of course

Leonda was beautiful...shame we got the smaller room because Uni High were in the Ballroom, but we clearly caught their attention anyway ;P Bouncers checked our clutches and we spent the next few hours trying to figure out if this particular bouncer was a man or woman (Mrs Price told the bouncer she/he was in the wrong bathroom when she/he walked into the girl's bathroom....HAHAHA I THINK SHE WAS ACTUALLY A CHICK!). Lots of hello's/omgyoulookbeautiful/omgiloveyourdress/omgiloveyourshoes/airkissing with people I barely speak to at school, but it was so awesome to see everyone looking so fabulousss! Completely didn't recognise a few of them...who knew some of the people in our year level were that HOT hahahaha

Camwhored, had an entree, took the year level photo (the smell of BO and fake tan is revolting)...

...queued up for our own professional photos etc...AND OHHH THE DANCING!! My feet STILL hurt from all that dancing! It was seriously awkward when the international student's dates tried to like...shimmy up to us and dance...and then I dunno, I just kinda walk off LOL (all the asian guys look EXACTLY THE SAME OMFG)

Some more good photos with people (ie before I danced my makeup off)...

Benny

Dianaa

Tra...looking seriously different!

Token shot with the principal

One of my fave photos...! Floor length representtt haha (except I think we're missing 1)

The nutbush completely killed my feet but I trooped on and tried to make Leah dance (btw Leah aren't you glad you came?? yayy), and all of a sudden the night was over :O The last song was very anticlimax though - Girls just wanna have fun. SERIOUSLY?!

Hobbled to the car and back (and back to the car again) to give Lisa's and Min's stuff back so that they could go clubbing (which they didn't do - TOLD YOU SO LOL, nah but late night karaoke sounds pretty fun haha), whilst Irene&Amanda came back to my place...we were still pretty much wide awake so we camwhored a bit and removed alllllll the makeup and undid their hair - HILARIOUS

Amanda's hair before
after

Irene's hair before

after

HAHAHA the both of them used probably 100+ bobby pins between them...plus irene had a hairnet under that mess as well :P

We watched Baby Mama whilst Irene fell asleep (and snored)...good movie :D demolished the popcorn, gossiped and slept at like 4am. Woke up at 8:30 and lay in bed for aaaages until we forced ourselves to get up and eat brekky - jumped onto facebook straight afterwards LOL

Mass photo uploading/tagging and stalking other people's photos...........AND YUP that's about it :D looking forward to the St Kev's one now that I've experienced a formal :) look outtttt haha

2 sleeps

T-minus 2 days and Min and Leah got their tiaras yesterday :D I'm tres excited to see what the fuss is all about, but I guess I'll have to wait...

House debating was on today - WE WON YEAHH! Before the final was like a spare period, so Leah and I cut up the award nomination slips, and delivered invitations to the teachers (totally felt like I was Santa haha). Sam tested out my hair curler, I stole a pair of fake eyelashes (they look gross so I don't wanna use them) and then we admired each others long nails HAHA....except Lisa and Irene who broke 1 nail :(

Tomorrow is gonna feel like an eternity - wind symphony at 7:30, double maths, double psych, chem, english....AS FREAKIN IF!! PLUS probably a short rehearsal after school for Explosive and THENN Robyn's until 6:30

FML I REALLY AM NOT IN THE MOOD TO HARDCORE ENGLISH FOR 2 HOURS! Thank god for SKC formal next Thursday...pretty much excited cos I get to skip out on Robyn's HAHA. Should be a great night though :)

I LOVE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I PASSED LMUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But we'll get back to that...

SO yesterday, Susan and I spent the night at Sofitel!! Dad has membership to some golf club, and got a free night for us so we checked in at 2pm and went shopping from MC to DFO and everything in between (bought nothing...haha)!

Later that night, her fam + my fam + piano teacher had a beautiful dinner in No. 35...7 course taster menu OH MY LORD it was incredible!

No. 1; pre teaser (crab or something)

No. 2; sashimi crystal bay prawns - wakimi - organic white tea & apple ice
[forgot to take a pic since I didn't eat it cos 1) I hate prawn and 2) ...RAW PRAWN?]

No. 3; Pecora ricotta & yolk ravioli - "sous vide" hen wing - foie gras - cavelo nero

No. 4; David Blackmore's wagyu rib-eye - ms 9+ and creamed bintjes pine mushrooms - quince

No. 5; lime & sago soda

No. 6; Woodside goats curd - warm truffled manuka honey - lavender oil - brioche

No. 7; Iced coconut shards - dry lychee meringue - white rum jelly - jaina snow
[forgot to take a pic again...too busy digesting, haha]

And if you're wondering how I have an amazing memory for the menu, it's cos we got to take it home...I have NO idea what all the foreign food names mean, it's like Masterchef hahaha

Ladies (cold Susan wearing my jumper on my right, AND THE BEST PIANO TEACHER IN THE WORLD ON MY LEFT ♥ ! + very awesome mums)

Watched Keeping Mum until the pirated disc failed, then watched The Prince and Me cos...we're girls and we like bad predictable chick flicks HAHA. Chatted til 2am about girly things and fell asleep in out VERY SOFT BEDS WTF I was up to my eyeballs in mattress and pillow, no joke

--------------------------------------

SO TODAY, we woke up at 10:30, checked out an hour later and went to eat brunch somewhere...trekked all the way to Beetroot on Hardware Lane (URBAN!) and I had a ham&cheese croissant + their awesome hot chocolate with fairy floss on top yumm! Lame Susan watched me eat...

I got out my phone after brunch and I was like WTF why do I have 5 missed calls from Dad and home?? So I cbf'd calling them back and went walking around to find food for Susan...then I realised I had an sms on top of the missed calls

From Dad (who has great texting skills....) "Congratulations on your award of L-mas (LOL it's like xmas, but lmas...wtff). Well done, sophie. We are proud of you"

So I basically screamed in the middle of a salad bar...called mum, who was SOO angry that Dad delivered the news LOL. They were having a war of who could get through to me first :P

SO YUP, after that we watched The Proposal, which I thought was funny...I guess both of us were in a girly movie mode :) we considered Transformers, but neither of us were up for a long movie...

Bought shoes for the formal on the way home! From Nine West cos they're on sale...hahaha

MAKES ME SOOO TALL! Comfy enough to last for 4 hours without dropping dead with blisters, and nobody's gonna see my feet anyway. Actually starting to get excited about this formal business...didn't really give a crap til I got voted on the committee, cos organising tables/invites/music etc sounds really fun!

AMANDA AND I ARE GONNA ROCK OUR FLOOR LENGTH DRESSES! hahahaha

L FRICKEN MUSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HECK YES!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAN BREATHE NOW!

I actually don't know what to do with life right now, I'm so relieved HAHA

Well, I *warmed up* on my old amus piano, and I was melting by the time it was 3...yet my hands were freezing :( I figured I should just sit outside the exam room and uselessly flip through my general knowledge notes, so I did...

The examiners were really nice, told me to start and play through like a recital
1) Bach was near-perfect, considering it's the first piece and exam pressure I think I did it really well
2) Mozart...I've never been 100% happy with Mozart in my life, and this time wasn't an exception unfortunately - I hit the right notes and got the style but it still felt funny =/ maybe was a bit rushed or something
3) Had a memory loss in my Chopin Ballade, but to a dumb listener nobody could tell...I just went back to another place and started over haaahah
4) Aaaand yeah Debussy was close enough to perfect as well :D

OMG I PSYCHED MYSELF OUT FOR GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SERIOUSLY! I ANSWERED EVERYTHING THEY ASKED ME HAHA. And if I had to think about the question, I just drank water and nodded my head HAHA. So they asked (while this is fresh in my brain):
1) What's interesting about the key signatures in this prelude and fugue?
2) Tell me about the Well Tempered Clavier
3) Where was Bach when he wrote these?
4) Name some other works by Bach.
5) Go through some of the significant key changes/structure of this fugue
6) What is an episode and do episodes have to have stretto?
7) Show me an example of an inversion and what is a retrograde?
8) Where is the 2nd subject in the Mozart?
9) Go through some of the key changes.
10) What other multi-movement works did Mozart write?
11) Tell me about the word "Ballade"
12) What do you think are the 2 significant themes in the Ballade?
13) What are some other multi-movement works Chopin composed?
14) What's interesting about his Fantasies? (DIDN'T KNOW THIS COS MY BIG MOUTH LISTED FANTASIES LOL)
14) Did Chopin write any piano sonatas? (I said no...pretty sure the answer is yes HAHA)
15) Who are some of Chopin's contemporaries?
16) Are these *points at a random...flourish...of...improv-ish notes* commonly used by Chopin?
17) Tell me about Debussy's "Estampes"
18) What are some other works composed by Debussy?
19) How many books did Debussy write for Images? (AGAIN, MY BIG MOUTH...I GUESSED 1 BOOK HAHA...WRONG)

The only few questions that got me was a key change in my Chopin (freakin accidentals everywhere confused me) and "how many books did Debussy write for Images" HOW WAS I MEANT TO KNOW LOL I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT? And "tell me about the Chopin Fantasies" AGAIN, I'VE NEVER PLAYED IT?

So I guess overall I'm really happy with how I did - better than the recitals I've given over the past 6 months

SO I WILL BE BEYOND FREAKIN PISSED IF I FAIL THIS THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(oh if anyone who googles "lmus" for advice, feel free to leave a comment - I was annoyed during my "lmus advice" google sessions that I couldn't find anything...hahaha)

xo
word of the day...no word of the day today, WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

today sucked

Don't you hate it when you start a day badly and everything else just fails after that ONE bad start

So my routine after waking up goes like this: walk to bathroom, take out retainer, rinse mouth.

Today, it was something like this: walk to bathroom, take out retainer, rinse mouth with a moth in the cup

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can imagine what it sounded like when I felt something foreign touch my tongue: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *spit*

AND IT WASN'T A LITTLE MOTH - IT WAS LIKE THIS BIG [_____________]

My cup is black, therefore I didn't see anything in it, and I dont need that much water to rinse a retainertasting mouth. I'm SO GLAD I didn't actually start doing that thing where you make water go in and out of your teeth (is this gargling...?) OTHERWISE I'D HAVE BLENDED MOTH ALL OVER MY TEETH EW EW EEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I promptly made mum switch my black cup to a bright yellow one to avoid future incidents like this x____x I have encountered a spider in my cup before, but I thankfully noticed it before I gargled

And as if that wasn't bad enough, I decided to go to some random gym class that Susan wanted me to try out with her - it was called "Ultimate Tone" and I assumed it was like yoga :D WRONG! It was fricken aerobics and weights =____= I was SO not co-ordinated enough to do strange steps and spins and whatnot...it was really embarrassing, PLUS we were the youngest there and everyone else was probably 30-70 years old (except 2 or 3). I have the co-ordination to dance (still looking for hip hop classes with Amanda and Lisa!) because the point of dance is the steps, therefore you learn routines from scratch. BUT THIS TONING CLASS WAS LIKE WTF!! EVERYONE KNEW THE STEPS, AND THE STEPS NEVER CHANGE!! THE TRAINER CALLS OUT RANDOM SHIT LIKE "KNEE CURL" and "MAMBO" AND EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT TO DOOOOO :( I just had to copy the trainer, but that failed when we had to spin around and face the back =___= By the end of it, I was sweating SO BAD that every strand of hair on my head was dripping D: 3 or 4 older ladies came up to us and said we were doing well, and made us promise to come back a few more times before we gave up...I'm sorry, but SIF!!!! *RUNS*

(having said all that, I still wanna try the pilates class they have at the gym...hahaha)

In the afternoon, mum drove to Box Hill to continue looking for dresses. Uhh, Asian is not my style kthx. BUT I found a nice pair of black flats for only $30 :D Highlight of my day. Seriously.

OH and I tried to fry a steak, but I left the plastic on the steak (for a few seconds). Yummy =__=

I have never welcomed the weekend so happily.

Chorals instrumental is sounding pretty awesome now, just imagine a peaceful classical piece with pot hitting, bin bashing, triangle dinging, rice shakers and basketball sounds happening over the top of it :)

Tomorrow is the whole day rehearsal for the bell ringing at the memorial service - we had a brief rehearsal and it sounds BEAUTIFUL, I can't wait until we get to perform it with MSO! I've also gotta rush to a Victorian Opera performance of Carmina Burana and Bluebeard straight after, so I have no idea how I'll fit weekend homework into the space of 2 hours
